A word of welcome
If you are looking for a church home, or just looking, there is a seat here for you this Sunday.
St. John has stood on South Marsalis for generations, and what has kept us here is not the building. It is a congregation that shows up for one another — in the hospital room, at the graveside, at the kitchen table, and at eleven o’clock on Sunday morning.
You do not need to dress a certain way, know anybody, or have your life in order before you walk through the door. Come and see what God is doing in Oak Cliff.

What to expect
- Where to park
- There is a lot beside the building and street parking on Marsalis. Look for a greeter in the entryway — they will get you to a seat.
- What to wear
- Whatever you have. You will see suits and you will see jeans, and nobody is counting.
- How long it lasts
- Sunday worship runs about an hour and a half. Sunday School is at 9:30 if you want to come early.
- Your children
- Children are welcome in the service, and Sunday School classes for young people meet at 9:30.
