Giving is not about making a donation

Why we give

At St. John Missionary Baptist Church, we believe that giving is an act of worship and an expression of our gratitude and love for God. Tithes and offerings are a way for us to participate in God’s work here on earth and to support the mission and ministry of our church.

Biblical foundation

The Bible teaches us about the importance of giving. In Malachi 3:10, God says: bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

How your giving makes a difference
